Foolish? Me or You? By Tris Westbrook

Updated: Apr 15

Was it really all just pretend?

Putting it on the back burner and saying it “doesn’t exist”

Just another thing that “never made sense”?

To you, everything we had was destined to end

And maybe I’m just the fool

For thinking this is something we can mend

You can laugh all you want

But I really thought we would last

I guess there was no point in it

Because now we are just the past

And I am a fool

That your pain, I could outlast

Maybe that’s a blessing in disguise

That I was better off without the lies

You always made me feel so dismissed

But you can walk away if you so insist

Though, you are the fool

If you think you can do better than this
